How Flogistix Turned 2.5 Billion Data Points Into a Fleet That Thinks for Itself

Flogistix, a Flowco brand serving oil and gas operators, was generating over 2.5 billion telemetry rows and more than 2 terabytes of data per day, but its teams struggled to make that data accessible and useful for business users. Even with Databricks in place, the company needed a business intelligence platform that could connect to its data and be easy enough for field, operations, and leadership teams to use.

Sigma Computing provided that layer, giving Flogistix spreadsheet-like analytics, visual reporting, drilldowns, and the ability to blend live telemetry with reference files and assumptions. With Sigma, Flogistix improved fault detection and unit diagnostics, reduced wasted truck rolls, supported safer field decisions, and strengthened emissions tracking and regulatory compliance. The company reports that one optimized vapor recovery unit increased emissions capture from 210 to 816 metric tons of CO₂e in a single month, and Flogistix says its work helped abate more than 14 million metric tons of CO₂e in 2022.
