Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW), now known as the Department of Human Services, faced a complex challenge during the Affordable Care Act rollout: it needed to integrate statewide IT infrastructure with new federal systems and coordinate a mission-critical launch across multiple platforms at once. To help manage the transition, DPW turned to Sightline and its IT performance analytics solution.

Sightline implemented monitoring across DPW’s legacy Unisys mainframes, Windows servers, and BizTalk environment to track resource utilization, measure application response times, and identify performance issues before, during, and after the ACA launch. With Sightline’s on-site support, DPW diagnosed and resolved five critical issues in the first two days, reduced outages and mean time to resolution, and later expanded monitoring to more than 500 additional Windows and Linux servers.
