How Avios used magical lightbulbs to inspire employees to share their ideas

Avios, working with Sideways 6, wanted a better way to surface employee ideas to improve customer experience, speed and agility, and the use of big data. The company needed a simple, engaging way to bring employees together, spark participation, and make it easy to capture and manage ideas at scale.

Sideways 6 helped Avios launch “Light the Bulb” using Microsoft Yammer integrated with the Sideways 6 idea management platform, allowing ideas to be posted, socialized, and automatically routed for review. The campaign generated 89 ideas in five weeks, engaged nearly 500 employees, and led to 12 ideas being sponsored, while also encouraging cross-team collaboration across the business.
