Helping Babbel Acquire New Language Learners Using Direct Response Video Creatives

Babbel, the leading language-learning app, needed fast, scalable, and localized direct-response creatives to support heavy paid-social user acquisition across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. To meet tight turnaround times and multiple market translations, Babbel partnered with Shuttlerock and used Shuttlerock’s scalable production, design resources and ShuttlerockCloud briefing/revision platform to supply fit-for-purpose video assets.

Shuttlerock delivered over 120 creative assets across eight markets, including optimized video ads, interactive playable ads and brand TrueView formats, enabling rapid testing and iteration. The work drove a 43.5% decrease in cost-per-lead, a 196% higher lead-to-sale rate and a 97.5% increase in click-through rate, while a playable ad cut cost-per-purchase by 11%; Shuttlerock’s creative strategy and speed improved Babbel’s paid-social performance.
