THOTCON is a nonprofit-run, invite-only hacker conference held each year at a secret Chicago location that brings together security experts and enthusiasts for talks, contests, and hands-on villages. As the event grew and its Twitter following expanded, the team needed an easy way to communicate ticket inventory updates and trigger timely reminders without constantly monitoring sales.
