Waimea College math teacher Andrew Ricciardi uses the Showbie web app to bring technology into his classroom and solve access problems at his school in Nelson, New Zealand. With no shared computers and limited computer-lab booking, Andrew needed a way to collaborate with students and manage assignments that students could access easily on their phones.
Showbie is used to deliver assignments, collect student work (students photograph paper work with their phones and post it), and support ongoing questions and collaboration. Using Showbie has streamlined assignment management and classroom communication, removed dependence on computer labs, and made it easy for students to submit and discuss work.
