Treloar’s Disabled School and College - Customer Case Study

Treloar’s Disabled School and College (UK), led by Helen Cronshaw, Head of Learning Technology, supports students with significant physical disabilities who were previously isolated in individual workstations and heavily reliant on personal assistants. To give students mainstream devices and boost independence the school rolled out iPads and needed a way to share resources and assignments asynchronously across staggered arrivals and hospital stays — they selected Showbie.

Showbie was implemented to distribute assignments, attach teacher voice notes, and give students immediate access to work so they can complete tasks at their own pace. As a result, Showbie is now embedded in Treloar’s curriculum, increasing student engagement, enabling more independent and student-led learning, and reducing the need for one-on-one assistance in many cases.
