How East Allen County Schools Combined Showbie And a District-Wide LMS to Improve Teaching and Learning

East Allen County Schools faced the challenge of turning a district-wide Blended Learning Initiative into classroom reality: rolling out 1:1 iPads and getting teachers to distribute assignments, reduce photocopying, and give timely feedback without disrupting instruction. To meet those goals and integrate with their Canvas LMS, the district selected Showbie as a user-friendly classroom workflow app to help teachers and students manage digital assignments and communication.

By combining Showbie with Canvas, East Allen County Schools created a scalable workflow that became the primary tool for the majority of the district’s 500+ teachers and supported a 1:1 environment for roughly 9,500 students (10,000+ devices). Showbie enabled automatic routing of student submissions, faster verbal and written feedback, near-paperless classrooms, and reliable eLearning days—allowing the small three-person tech team to sustain the program and keep instruction uninterrupted.
