Harlow College, a UK further education college serving mostly 16–19-year-olds, needed a way to fully integrate its 1:1 iPad program into everyday teaching so students could create, submit and receive meaningful feedback across all disciplines. To solve that workflow challenge the college adopted Showbie as its primary classroom workflow app to share work, store assignments and enable teacher feedback.

Showbie was rolled out staff‑wide—now used by about 90% of teachers—for marking, sharing and building student digital portfolios in subjects from carpentry to dance, with voice and written feedback to track progress. The Showbie-enabled digital approach helped Harlow College raise grades by 6% since 2015, convinced over 70% of students that iPads improved their grades, and produced richer portfolios that boost employability.
