A Showbie Case Study
Charles Armstrong School, a California K–8 school serving students with dyslexia and related learning differences, needed alternatives to traditional pen‑and‑paper instruction and better ways to support executive‑function challenges like organizing and planning work. When Grades 6–8 went 1:1 with iPads, Technology Integration Specialist Erika Lewis evaluated apps to manage digital workflow and selected Showbie as the most user‑friendly, feature‑rich solution for teachers and students.
Showbie was rolled out across the middle school as a digital assistive‑technology tool that centralizes assignments, submissions and feedback, enables scheduling of tasks, and supports voice and typed comments for individualized instruction. The result was rapid adoption schoolwide, improved student organization and workload management, and more effective teacher–student communication (including helping a dysgraphic teacher share clear directions)—demonstrating Showbie’s impact on classroom workflow and student independence.
