Ordnance Survey reaches 10.8 million with Shout! Communications

Ordnance Survey, Britain's national mapping agency, faced the challenge of promoting its National Map Reading Week and encouraging the public to engage with maps and navigation skills. Shout! Communications was enlisted to support this initiative with a targeted broadcast PR campaign.

Shout! Communications implemented a research-led strategy to create topical talking points, such as revealing how many Brits do not take a map on walks. They also secured third-party spokespeople, the YouTube geography-comedy duo Map Men, to significantly boost media appeal. The solution successfully secured coverage on BBC Breakfast and 17 additional BBC radio stations, achieving a total reach of over 10.8 million people.
