System76, the Linux computer maker behind POP!_OS, needed to drive OS downloads, collect detailed user feedback and testimonials, and build a top‑of‑funnel lead database. To motivate demos and social sharing, System76 ran a prize-driven contest (100 small prizes plus two grand prizes) and partnered with ShortStack to host and manage the campaign.

ShortStack provided a secure contest landing page, lead collection, refer‑a‑friend sharing, autoresponders/scheduled emails and random‑winner selection, letting System76 collect emails before downloads and send a four‑message follow‑up sequence to prompt 7‑day testimonials. The campaign generated over 550 leads and 181 substantive Pop!_OS testimonials, produced job‑title segmentation for better targeting, exported clean data for the team, and automated a process that had previously been manual — all with ShortStack’s support.
