STAR Fine Foods, a maker of Mediterranean products including olives, olive oil and vinegar, faced a steep drop in olive sales after the holiday season and wanted to educate consumers, re-engage fans, and grow its email database. To create an interactive, budget-friendly campaign that extended sales beyond the holidays, STAR Fine Foods partnered with ShortStack and used ShortStack’s platform and custom design services.
ShortStack built and executed the multi‑tiered "How Do You O‑Live?" giveaway (recipes, quiz, photo entries), publishing it on STAR Fine Foods’ website and Facebook and promoting it via bloggers, ads, shelf talkers and neck hangers. The campaign delivered 14,638 unique entries and 21,590 total entries, increased starfinefoods.com traffic by 288.26% year‑over‑year (with 27.3% of traffic to the microsite), boosted Pinterest and recipe traffic, and captured entrant emails for follow‑up — results achieved using ShortStack’s platform and services.
