Perky-Pet, a sponsor of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, wanted to raise awareness of its West Texas Hummingbird Cam, educate viewers about hummingbird feeders, and grow its email list. To achieve this, Perky-Pet partnered with ShortStack and used ShortStack’s “Vote to Enter Sweepstakes” template and entry form to drive engagement and signups.
Using ShortStack’s configurable sweepstakes (daily voting, customizable entry form and a checked-by-default opt-in), Perky-Pet ran a four-week campaign that drove 5,649 votes, 4,479 sweepstakes entries and 863 new opt-in email subscribers (a 22.5% list increase). The campaign reached 62,875 people with 7,861 engagements (cost per engagement $0.06), increased cam views (average views/day +21.4%, total views +17.4%), and delivered measurable leads that Perky-Pet added to its database—results powered by ShortStack.
