Springboard, the mentor-led online education provider with mentors across 30+ countries, faced a fragmented, hard-to-scale payments process—paying contractors through six different vendors (PayPal, Transferwise, Gusto and local wires), lacking onboarding visibility, and struggling to know who was payable each month. To solve this, they engaged Shortlist and its payments platform to centralize international contractor payouts.

Shortlist delivered a single payments home that can pay contractors in 35 countries, with email triggers for completed onboarding, real-time visibility (replacing Excel trackers), scheduled payments, and manager-only safeguards. As a result Shortlist reduced operational friction, gave mentor managers autonomy to add expenses, sped up responses to mentors, and freed Springboard’s Mentor Operations Manager to focus on strategic work rather than payment administration.
