A Shorthose Russell Case Study
Guide Dogs for the Blind, one of the UK's most famous charities, needed to redesign its Christmas catalogue to create a stronger visual experience that would better showcase its product range and ultimately drive sales. The vendor, Shorthose Russell, was tasked with this design challenge to ensure the catalogue adhered to brand guidelines while becoming more engaging for its consumer audience.
Shorthose Russell implemented a solution that involved a complete catalogue redesign with a new lifestyle approach to photography. They undertook photoshoots to present products in realistic settings, such as models wearing clothing outdoors and gifts wrapped in the charity's paper. This visually engaging design was intended to make the catalogue feel like a magazine readers would want to keep and browse. The work by Shorthose Russell was successful, with the client winning the Charity Winner of the Ecomd Direct Commerce Awards in 2018.
