NHS Virtually overhauls its consultation platform in early 2021 with Shoreditch Design Studio

Shoreditch Design Studio (SDS) was commissioned by NHS Virtually to overhaul its online consultation and health platform. The challenge was to upgrade the platform to better appeal to users and make it easier to use for both practitioners and the general public, a need that was heightened by the high demand for GP appointments during the COVID pandemic.

SDS implemented a solution that included a complete UI and UX overhaul. The vendor revamped the visual design to provide a softer, more comforting feel while retaining the recognized NHS colors and revised the user experience to be intuitive for all users regardless of age, language, or disability. The result was the successful launch of the NHS Virtually service with smooth, clean visuals that significantly improved the platform's usability.
