Omaha Steaks, working with ShopIgniter, wanted a better way to sell on Facebook after an initial “f-commerce” effort failed: driving fans from wall posts to the main site didn’t convert, maintaining parallel catalogs was cumbersome, and the brand wanted to grow and reward its fanbase while inspiring sharing and exceeding customer expectations.
ShopIgniter analyzed fan demographics and behaviors and helped launch a small Facebook-exclusive store integrated with Omaha Steaks’ eCommerce platform, featuring limited-quantity products, fan rewards and points, exclusive pricing, loyalty badges, wish lists and sharing tools. The program attracted many new customers, gained over 50,000 fans in the first phase, drove strong sharing and amplification, and produced actionable insights into fan preferences and the path to purchase.
