YCL Jewels is a Brisbane-based jewellery brand founded by a 22-year-old Italo-Australian designer who grew the business out of a wellness blog to create pieces for the “modern & mystic” woman. The main challenge was turning a personal community and creative passion into a scalable business while overcoming self-doubt and juggling every role—from design to fulfillment—on a shoestring budget.

The founder grew sales through consistent small steps: selling at wellness events and markets, launching a Shopify online store, leveraging social media for one-on-one engagement, outsourcing an intern for marketing, and using Shopify POS and the mobile app to streamline retail and order fulfillment. Within a year the brand achieved notable growth and exposure—being featured twice in British Vogue—and now generates most traffic and sales from its social channels, events, and the online store.
