Vivien Frank Designs (vivienfrank.com) is a Zurich-based, fair-trade handmade jewelry brand founded by a former film production manager who turned her home office into a studio after becoming a stay-at-home mom. The main challenges were sourcing reliable, ethical suppliers, developing a cohesive collection, and building consistent online traffic and sales while handling made-to-order production and fulfillment in-house.

To solve this she used Etsy to test designs, then migrated to Shopify while building supplier relationships and handling packaging and shipping herself (including handwritten notes). Marketing tactics—MailChimp newsletters, Pinterest/Buyable Pins, blogger partnerships and AdWords—have driven growing traffic and sales, with pins and emails converting well and paid ads proving profitable as the business scales.
