UKIES Shoes, founded in Atlanta in 2014, was born from founder Kavita’s “lightbulb” moment after a day in painful high heels. Facing the challenge of making stylish heels that are genuinely comfortable, the team worked with podiatrists, engineers and shoemakers to develop their patented nanoGel® technology, sourced Italian leathers, and began production abroad (now transitioning to Spain and Brazil) to deliver higher-quality, comfortable heels.
To bring the product to market they relied on word-of-mouth, social media and earned media coverage, then scaled traffic through SEO and a high-converting Mailchimp program. Tools like Yotpo and TradeGecko support reviews and wholesale operations, fulfillment is handled in-house, and the result is strong organic search traffic, high repeat-customer loyalty, and growing sales driven by positive reviews and targeted email marketing.
