Skullcandy, a global lifestyle brand for riders and music lovers, was held back by an outdated ecommerce stack that slowed site performance, complicated integrations, and made new ideas difficult to launch. Shopify enabled Skullcandy to replatform its U.S. site in just 90 days and expand to Canada, the EU, and the UK soon after. The results were significant: homepage load time dropped from 2.8s to 0.8s, PDP load times were cut in half, product launches sped up from a full day to about an hour, and the brand achieved 45% year-over-year holiday revenue growth, plus a 200% spike in visits for its biggest launch with zero performance issues.
