Raw Generation, a Middletown, NJ juice company started by a daughter-and-father team after a health coach certification, set out to provide truly healthy, convenient raw juices for busy people. After six months the original niche product had little appeal and the business was making virtually no money, so the founders faced the challenge of repositioning the brand and finding an effective marketing channel.
They rebranded and pivoted to packaged juice cleanses, then concentrated their efforts on deal sites (rather than scattered marketing) — committing two weeks to secure offers and then focusing wholly on that channel. The focused approach produced rapid growth: monthly sales rose from about $8,000 in May to $33,000 in June and over $96,000 in July, giving them a repeatable formula built on rapid product iteration, single-minded marketing focus, and testing minimum viable products.
