Punchdrunk Panda - Customer Case Study

Punchdrunk Panda is a Philippine design-led brand that produces graphic, functional products to showcase Filipino illustrators and celebrate local creativity. After early sales on Multiply and at bazaars, the founder launched a Joomla site in 2008, but the platform proved admin-unfriendly, glitchy, and reliant on developer support—creating operational friction as the business and following grew.

Moving to Shopify solved those problems: the store now uses Shopify with Mailchimp, Shipwire for US fulfillment (and manual flat‑rate shipping in the Philippines), payments via 2Checkout/PayPal/Shopify Payments, and ads/analytics through Google, Facebook Ads and AdRoll. Shopify’s ease of use, app integrations and Shipwire sync automated inventory and shipping, reduced tech headaches, and enabled the founder to scale and manage the business across time zones while keeping the mission alive.
