My Swim Stuff (My Swim Cap), founded in San Jose, set out to solve a common dilemma: how to enjoy swimming without damaging or sacrificing the look of your hair. After learning traditional caps weren’t designed to protect hair, the founder developed a patent-pending cap that is more stylish, durable and comfortable than standard designs and better protects hair from chlorine and salt water.

The company launched sales at a hair-care trade show—selling over 200 caps—and then expanded online. Moving to Shopify with OrderCup cut fulfillment time by more than 70% through batching, freeing resources for marketing and partnerships with hair salons and swimwear manufacturers; the business is also exploring affordable international shipping and plans to grow the cap line into a matching beach-fashion accessory.
