MVMT Watches, founded in 2013 by two 22-year-old entrepreneurs in Santa Monica, set out to make high-quality, stylish watches affordable. They launched on Indiegogo with a $15,000 goal and raised $220,000—becoming the second-highest funded fashion campaign—then parlayed that momentum into press coverage and retail placements while tackling the challenge of scaling online sales and operations.

To scale quickly they migrated to Shopify, leaned on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest) for traffic, and adopted back-end tools like Shopify Reviews, LiveChat and Abandon Aid to streamline operations. The result: placement in over 30 stores including Urban Outfitters, 100,000+ site visits, roughly 9,000 Facebook likes per month, and a top-10 spot in the Build a Business contest.
