mini mioche, a Toronto-based maker of organic, Canadian-made infant and kids basics, was born after its founder couldn’t find simple, high-quality neutral children’s essentials. Initially sold wholesale to specialty retailers, the brand needed a stronger direct-to-consumer presence to reach a larger audience and compete in a crowded online market while preserving local, ethical production.
The solution was a focused Shopify strategy: a revamped online store, heavy investment in Instagram and Pinterest, influencer and blogger partnerships, and local collaborations, plus backend apps (OrderlyPrint, Shopify Assistant, Pop Up Window, Collection Filter, Foursixty) and a dedicated warehouse for in-house fulfillment. The results: a dramatic sales uptick—nearly half of all sales occurred in the past year—Instagram and Pinterest drive the most traffic, and retail stores continue to boost trust and repeat online orders.
