MatterThings is Canada’s first 3D print shop, born in 2013 after the founders bought a 3D printer and tested demand with local classifieds. Early custom orders and in-store demonstrations convinced them to open a retail location; today they run 30+ printers and needed a professional website and a high-tech point-of-sale to scale and showcase their services.

They launched quickly on Shopify using a free theme and Shopify POS, and added Facebook Store, MailMunch/MailChimp and Follow Up Email to handle marketing and reviews. Shopify’s clean themes, backend, SEO and support enabled fast online visibility and a “wow” in-store experience—now most clients find MatterThings organically through their site, with growing email subscribers and post-purchase reviews.
