LOOP Phone Strap - Customer Case Study

Batisseau, Quebec–based LOOP Phone Strap (phoneloops.com) was created after the founder repeatedly dropped and broke their smartphone. The idea began informally—a pub, a straw and a broken phone—and evolved into in-house prototypes developed with 3M Innovation reps. Production was sourced through local suppliers and promotional-product partners in Canada and the USA.

Early sales came from friends and family, social media and a successful Kickstarter that produced the first large order; today a Shopify store drives most traffic and sales as the brand moves into retail via distributors. The business runs on an Out of the Sandbox template with apps like Order Printer, Product Reviews, MailChimp and Google Shopping, handles shipping and fulfillment in-house (with dropshipping under consideration), and advises new merchants to prioritize marketing strategy and functional UX over pure style.
