LA LA LAND is a Glasgow-based lifestyle brand that grew from a love of TV and film into a signature range of foil-stamped “Pop Cult” pencils plus clothing, homewares, jewellery and curated artist pieces. After launching a shop and an online store in 2010, the company faced the challenge of scaling its online business, replacing its physical shop and managing in-house production, photography and fulfillment while keeping marketing effective and efficient.

The team moved to Shopify in January 2014 and consolidated operations in a city-centre studio, handling production and fulfillment internally and using tools like Pixc for image editing, Better Coupon Box and Mailchimp for promotions, and Order Printer for branded invoices. The focus on visual social media (Instagram, Pinterest), PR and scheduled email marketing drove growth: online sales soon outpaced the store, social channels now generate the most revenue, and promotions reliably boost conversions.
