Katy's Boutique (formerly Secrets Boutique) is a Milton Keynes–based retailer with 30 years on the high street that was taken online by new owner Karen Bowers. Her challenge was to transform the beloved physical store into a beautiful, easy-to-use modern ecommerce site that reflects the brand’s quality and lets it compete in the 21st century.

The store launched on Shopify using the Fashionopolism theme with developer refinements, strong supplier imagery, Payment Sense for seamless checkout, and AfterShip plus the Facebook plugin for order tracking and social referrals. A Facebook marketing campaign drove the first sale within 48 hours, and ongoing traffic and sales continue to come from social channels; the team’s key advice is to invest in site design and marketing.
