Jungalow began as Justina Blakeney’s design blog and grew into a licensed home-goods brand sold through retailers like Anthropologie and Target. Faced with the risk of over-reliance on partners, Blakeney opened a direct online store in 2017 but soon needed a cleaner site, faster checkout, and a better way to turn first-time buyers into repeat customers to secure the brand’s future.
In late 2018 Jungalow upgraded to Shopify Plus, overhauled site navigation and product pages (hover-to-preview images, click-to-add), and launched the JungaLoco loyalty program to reward and incentivize reviews. The changes drove a 61% increase in sales, a 12% lift in conversions, a 26.5% rise in returning customers, and grew the website’s share of total sales from about 30% to nearly 60%.
