Case Study: July Nine builds a professional online storefront and boosts sales with Shopify

A Shopify Case Study

Preview of the July Nine Case Study

July Nine - Customer Case Study

July Nine, a Bend, Oregon brand, was born when an engineer-turned-designer created the Sushi Sack — a modern, roll-up reusable bag — after a local bag ban exposed a need for attractive, everyday carry bags. The founder’s non-negotiable commitment to American manufacturing and the challenge of scaling production while keeping costs low shaped the business from a one-person garage operation to an in-house sewing team and Oregon production facility.

To solve those challenges July Nine evolved its product line, brought manufacturing back in-house, and built a polished online storefront on Shopify, using Shippo, Receiptful, Mailchimp, and Order Printer for smooth fulfillment and communication. Press, blogs, Kickstarter, Instagram and sales reps drove early and ongoing demand — landing custom work (e.g., Diet Coke), retail placements and wholesale accounts — resulting in steady online sales growth and a stronger, professional brand presence.
