Jill & Jack Kids - Customer Case Study

Jill and Jack Kids, a Toronto-based social enterprise, was founded after Jenn couldn't find clothing beyond pink frills for girls and dark trucks for boys. She designed playtime-worthy, gender-neutral tees based on real kids' measurements and partnered with a Canadian manufacturer to create fresh, wearable designs both boys and girls love.

To launch the brand she ran a Kickstarter in May 2014 and raised more than $20,000 from over 450 backers in under three weeks, then moved to pre-orders on a Shopify store, added a Facebook shop and is preparing for POS sales. Using an integrated toolkit (Shopify, HootSuite, Followerwonk, Boomerang, Google Docs/Dropbox and Beetailer) plus blog partnerships and media coverage like the Globe and Mail, Jill and Jack turned crowdfunding momentum into online traffic and sales.
