JerkySpot.com is a Colorado-based ecommerce retailer that got started almost by accident when its founder chose to sell beef jerky with no prior industry experience. Early challenges included a poor initial domain/brand that hurt vendor relationships and the need to learn sales and fulfillment on the fly, so the team focused on making quick, incremental decisions rather than waiting for perfection.

They rebranded early, used Google AdWords to earn their first sales, and scaled into multiple channels (Amazon, eBay, Shopify, product ads, affiliates, Facebook, email).
