Case Study: Rebecca Minkoff achieves up to 65% higher purchases with Shopify using 3D & AR

A Shopify Case Study

Preview of the Rebecca Minkoff Case Study

In going 3D, Rebecca Minkoff’s customers became nearly 30% more likely to buy

Rebecca Minkoff, the fashion brand known for early tech adoption, faced a common ecommerce challenge: how to bring products—especially handbags—to life for online shoppers who couldn’t touch or try items. The team wanted to boost consumer confidence and conversions by giving customers richer, more interactive ways to evaluate texture, size, and quality on product pages.

Using Shopify Plus, Rebecca Minkoff added 3D models and mobile AR to more than 50 product pages (including the Darren shoulder bag), letting shoppers rotate items and virtually place them in their environment. The result: shoppers who interacted with 3D were 44% more likely to add an item to cart and 27% more likely to order, and visitors who used AR were 65% more likely to purchase—driving measurable lifts in engagement and sales.
