How email capture helped Little Words Project connect omnichannel data and personalize customer interactions

Little Words Project, the affirmation bracelet brand founded by Adriana Carrig, was expanding quickly from digital-native roots into 14 retail locations and needed a way to capture customer emails in-store without slowing down checkout or disrupting its hands-on “Beadtender” experience. As an omnichannel brand, it wanted to connect in-store and online customer data more effectively, and it used Shopify POS with email capture at checkout to reduce friction and support stronger customer relationships.

Shopify implemented email capture at checkout with Shop Pay integration, allowing Little Words Project to automatically surface customer emails, offer digital receipts, and collect marketing opt-ins in one tap. The result was a more connected data ecosystem and more personalized outreach, with in-store email capture rates up over 20% on average and by as much as 95% at some locations, POS orders with a customer email rising 21%, and orders with both email and marketing opt-in increasing 33% across stores.
