How Decor Steals replatformed from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to innovate faster and reduce development costs

Decor Steals, a US-based home decor retailer, needed a faster, more cost-effective way to test new sales channels and make site updates. On Salesforce Commerce Cloud, innovation was slow, integrations like Facebook and Instagram checkout were costly, and development work required too much time and technical support. The company moved to Shopify in 2023 to gain more flexibility and reduce development costs.

With Shopify, Decor Steals replatformed in under six months—about 3x faster and roughly $300,000 less expensive than their Salesforce launch. Shopify enabled easy testing and launch of new channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and Shop app, which drove more than 8% of revenue from new channels and tripled sales on the Shop app. The redesigned experience also helped lift conversion rates by 10% and cut abandoned carts by 7%, while making non-technical updates much easier for the team.
