How a Unified Commerce Strategy with Shopify Payments Saved Ruggable a Quarter Million Dollars in Annual Overhead

Ruggable, a US-based home design brand selling machine-washable rugs and other products internationally, needed a more efficient way to grow beyond the US without the complexity of managing separate stores for each market. As international sales became a bigger growth lever, the team faced rising operational overhead, manual catalog updates, and increased risk of errors while using multiple Shopify stores.

Ruggable implemented Shopify Markets along with Multi-Entity management through Shopify Payments to centralize localization, manage regional catalogs, currencies, translations, and payment options, and keep its Canada launch on the existing storefront instead of opening a new store. With Shopify, Ruggable saved over $250,000 in annual overhead, cut more than $55,000 in third-party costs, avoided 330+ hours of upfront work, and reduced ongoing maintenance by up to 115 hours per week, or nearly 6,000 hours per year.
