Higgins Would Be Proud is a Toronto-based apparel brand, founded by two Parsons School of Design grads, that makes locally produced dog hoodies and clothing. Their challenge was building awareness and sustainable sales while keeping design and manufacturing close to home and supporting a local supply chain.

They launched at local markets to get grassroots exposure, used social media to engage fans, and leveraged wholesale and consignment with Toronto retailers as primary sales channels. Shopify and the Shopify Reader handle inventory and market POS, enabling quick 1–2 day fulfillment; the result is steady sales growth, a loyal community of customers wearing their gear, and a production shift toward fully Toronto-based manufacturing.
