Glasvin Boosts Global Sales by 71% with Managed Markets

Glasvin, the premium hand-blown wine glass company founded by David Kong, wanted to grow internationally without losing its promise of affordability and a smooth customer experience. As overseas orders increased, high shipping costs, duties, and surprise fees were causing customer confusion, refund requests, and pressure on thin margins. With Shopify’s Managed Markets, Glasvin added delivered duty paid shipping, transparent upfront pricing, local currency display, and local payment methods, while also benefiting from discounted international shipping rates and better market analytics. The results were strong: 71% year-over-year growth in global sales, an 11% increase in global conversion rate, and even higher conversion growth in Canada and Australia, at 122% and 109% respectively.
