Boll & Branch relies on Avalara to ease the tax burdens of a $100M company

Boll & Branch is a husband-and-wife home-furnishing brand that grew from a 2014 startup into a nine‑figure business and the world’s largest consumer of organic, fair‑trade cotton. After the 2018 South Dakota v. Having replatformed to Shopify Plus in 2016, Boll & Branch integrated Avalara’s automated tax software to calculate, compile and file returns. Avalara now produces the monthly reports the controller reviews and approves, enabling the company to file roughly 430 returns a year across about 40 states.
