Aromaflage is a New York–based beauty brand that created a new category—“fragrance with function”—after founders discovered effective, essential oil–based mosquito repellents while traveling in Southeast Asia. Their challenge was to turn that healthy, pleasant solution into a scalable, high-quality product line, sourcing from diversified suppliers and manufacturing in the U.S. to meet customer expectations.
They launched by marketing to friends, family and select retail partners, building their online store on Shopify and partnering with larger retailers to drive traffic and sales. Using referral tools, customer tracking, monthly email campaigns and a clean, user-friendly website, they’ve established Shopify and key retail partners as primary revenue channels, maintained U.S. manufacturing quality, and are actively scaling fulfillment through a combination of internal operations and a fulfillment center.
