Pikes Peak Library District brings maker-space fabrication to life with ShopBot, serving 6,000 attendees at its first Mini Maker Faire

Pikes Peak Library District sought to modernize its public services and become more than just a repository of information. While the CNC tool was initially underutilized, the library hosted demonstrations and a Mini Maker Faire to boost awareness. The results included growing community interest and patronage, and even interest from a local manufacturer looking to use the space for employee training, helping to fill a skills gap in modern manufacturing.
