DTDC Automates First-Mile Operations, Shrinks Customer Query Calls By 40% per Order

DTDC, a major Indian logistics company established in 1990, faced rising customer expectations, heavy manual and PC-based last-mile processes, limited customer visibility into package handling, and increasing query calls per order. To digitize and scale its operations, DTDC partnered with Shipsy and sought a cloud-native, mobile-first solution to automate first-mile and last-mile workflows.

Shipsy implemented its AWS Cloud–powered Smart Logistics Platform, including a white‑label customer portal and the MyDTDC mobile app, to automate pickups, labeling, tracking and returns while enabling BYOD and auto-scaling operations. The Shipsy deployment drove a 96–97% growth in real-time last-mile transaction volume, a 99% increase in digital transactions, 25–30% faster customer communication and a 35–40% (up to ~40%) reduction in customer query calls per order, while delivering rapid scalability and improved security.
