Using legacy software, the retailer could only show customers a delivery window at checkout and was limited to a single national carrier, which restricted shipping flexibility, accuracy, and speed.
With Shipium’s Delivery Promise product and carrier selection platform, Saks OFF 5TH expanded from one carrier to 12 in less than six months, connected delivery promises to downstream operations, and began showing precise delivery dates at checkout. The result was faster and more cost-effective shipping, with orders delivered in three days or less accounting for almost half of deliveries, the original national carrier falling to 7% of shipments in the first year, and significant cost savings on three-day-or-less shipments.
