Retrospec, a sporting goods brand that has sold bikes and outdoor gear since 2009 and serves nearly 500 dealers, faced a surge in orders during the early days of COVID-19 that overwhelmed its manual pack-and-ship process. The company’s previous workflow required multiple clicks and scans per shipment and lacked automated rate shopping and bulk label printing, creating bottlenecks at the packing table. To address this, Retrospec turned to ShipHawk for an automated shipping and fulfillment solution.

ShipHawk implemented automatic rate shopping before orders reached picking, enabled bulk label printing, removed manual decisions and extra scans, and pushed completed shipment data into Retrospec’s NetSuite ERP. As a result, Retrospec drastically reduced order processing times, maintained real-time visibility, and streamlined fulfillment so 90% of pre-packed orders could be processed far faster than in native NetSuite, eliminating packing bottlenecks and scaling to meet pandemic-driven demand.
