A ShipHawk Case Study
Everything But the House (EBTH) faced a barrier to national expansion because its logistics were manual and fragmented: many large auction items were marked “local pickup only,” staff had to call carriers for quotes and pack shipments themselves, and shoppers couldn’t see accurate shipping rates during bidding. This limited bidder participation, reduced final sale prices, and made scaling into new markets slow and costly. To solve this, EBTH selected the ShipHawk end-to-end distribution platform.
ShipHawk automated instant, accurate shipping rates inside the bidding window, scheduled pickups, recommended packaging, and managed shipments end-to-end, enabling nationwide bidding and delivery. As a result, EBTH more than doubled items sold (+130% in six months), processed 43% more shipments in the first 90 days without adding staff, expanded to 2.3× more cities in six months (with plans for 4× in a year), and saw improved margins from higher final bid prices thanks to broader bidder participation. ShipHawk’s platform directly drove these measurable gains.
