How Proper Wild Tripled Their Conversion Rates with Free Shipping

Proper Wild, a New York City direct-to-consumer beverage company selling plant-based energy shots, faced the challenge of launching a CPG brand in a high–customer-acquisition-cost category while lacking in-house fulfillment capacity. They chose ShipBob to handle fulfillment and provide a tech-enabled 3PL solution, using ShipBob’s Growth Plan self-onboarding, integrations with Shopify and subscription tools, and outsourced storage, picking, packing, and shipping.

ShipBob implemented self-onboarding, connected fulfillment software, and distributed inventory across two ShipBob fulfillment centers to speed delivery and reduce zones, enabling nationwide fulfillment to all 50 states. As a result, Proper Wild reduced operational time to about 4–5 hours per week, offered free shipping (which tripled conversion rates), supported rapid growth (612% growth since the pandemic began), and positioned the brand for national retail expansion.
