A ShipBob Case Study

How Black Claw Centralized Fulfillment With ShipBob

Black Claw, a Portland-based tattoo supply brand, was scaling quickly but was fragmented across three different 3PLs and three ecommerce stores, which created heavy manual work, inconsistent warehouse systems, and high international shipping costs for UK/EU customers. To solve this, Black Claw selected ShipBob as a tech-driven international fulfillment partner, leveraging ShipBob’s centralized warehouse management system and global fulfillment footprint.

ShipBob consolidated Black Claw’s operations into one platform with multiple fulfillment centers (4 ShipBob locations across 3 countries), routing allocations into a single WMS, integrating with BigCommerce and Inventory Planner, and providing a unified analytics dashboard. The result: faster, lower-cost domestic shipping for international customers, fewer manual reconciliations, improved inventory forecasting and fewer stockouts, and the operational capacity to support community efforts during COVID (435 tattoo artists featured via SupportTattooers.com; 100% of contributions go directly to tattooers). ShipBob’s solution freed Black Claw from managing three 3PLs and significantly reduced backend workload.
